When Wes Higgins (Host of Veteran Outdoors) & I went looking for the perfect place to film our pilot episode of Veteran Outdoors
we knew we had to find a ranch that not only offered trophy animals but several other things as well; we needed five-star accommodations,
a knowledgeable and helpful staff, close proximity to an airport, the ability to accommodate a handicap hunt, plus a first-class chef to
keep everyone's energy up. We found ALL that and more with Lane and Patty Laning at the 5F Ranch!
Veteran Outdoors is a platform for our country's veterans to tell their own stories in conjunction with the surprise of taking them on
once-in-a-lifetime hunts...it's about giving back to those who gave. The attitude of the owners and staff at 5F Ranch fit in perfectly
with VO's motto. They even surprised us and upgraded the class of whitetail to a 165 class trophy buck! It was their way of saying thanks to
an 18-year Army veteran and it's that kind of heart that will bring us back to the 5F Ranch for many, many years to come!
The luxury of the lodge was beyond words...the ranch managers, Lane and Patty, made us feel like old friends down for the weekend right from the
start ...the ranch and animals were second to NONE...Angie's food was five-star delicious it was truly a hunt of a lifetime for all of us!!!

The 5F Game Ranch has the biggest bucks in the state. With great food,
great hospitality and great hunting...the 5F Game Ranch has it all. I had a
great time on my hunt and took a wonderful trophy while hunting with Lane
